Chiptuning VW, Audi and Skoda TDI &TFSI ENGINES

It probably won't be far from the truth to say that electronic modification of cars from the Volkswagen group - that is, chip tuning of VW, Audi, Skoda and Seat was the beginning of the entire electronic tuning industry. Power increase began in parallel with the Fiat Group cars (because it was in them as the first injection pumps produced by Bosch VP37 and earlier (already in 1986, the debut of electronic diesel injection), but it is chip tuning Volkswagen TDI has become the basis and determinant of the success of electronic engine overclocking. Diesel engines, designated in VW group as TDI, including the most popular 1.9 TDI and 2.0 TDI in several variants (with pump injectors, VP37, VP44 pump, or finally common rail) are the most frequently tuned engines in ECU Tunes. Larger units, found especially in the flagship models of Audi and VW Touareg (5.0 TDI, 4.2 TDI, 3.0 TDI) are already less popular.

After the debut of turbocharged petrol engines in 1994 (1.8 turbo), VW and Audi tuning expanded to petrol cars. Currently, turbo petrol engines are used in almost all models of the VAG group - from the smallest 1.2 TSI and 1.4 TSI, through the popular 1.8 TSI, to the most established 2.0 TSI and 2.0 TFSI. There are also larger engines, 2.5 TFSI R5 and 3.0 TFSI V6, but as with the larger diesel engines they are less popular (not without significance here is the high price of petrol - admittedly, fuel economy is most effectively achieved in both TDI and TFSI/TSI engines, but it is logical that consumption is dependent on engine displacement and small, powerful engines will always have the advantage).

Hence, TDI and TFSI chiptuning is a way to increase power and torque while maintaining low fuel consumption. In a way, it's a way to have a more luxurious car with more power and acceleration without the added cost of engine capacity.

In addition, safe chip tuning in VAG TSI and TFSI engines can be at the same time ecotuning - the program at hard presses on the gas pedal will provide more performance, while with quiet driving - will reduce fuel consumption, actually replacing the need to install LPG installation.
